Workspaces
What is a workspace?
A workspace is the data isolation boundary in Mipiti. All threat models, systems, chat sessions, and activity events belong to a workspace. Team members in the same workspace see the same models.
Every user gets a personal workspace automatically. You can also create team workspaces to collaborate with others.
Creating a team workspace
- Navigate to Workspaces in the sidebar
- Click Create Workspace
- Enter a name and optional description
- Your new workspace appears in the workspace switcher
Switching workspaces
Use the workspace switcher in the top navigation bar. When you switch workspaces, all views (Dashboard, Models, Systems, Assurance, etc.) update to show data from the selected workspace.
Inviting members
Only workspace owners can invite members:
- Go to Workspaces and select the team workspace
- Enter the email address of the user you want to invite
- The user must already have a Mipiti account
Members can create, edit, and delete models within the workspace. Only owners can manage membership and workspace settings.
Note: You cannot invite members to a personal workspace. Personal workspaces are single-user by design.
Roles
| Role | Models & Systems | Members | Workspace settings |
|---|---|---|---|
| Owner | Full access | Invite & remove | Edit name, description |
| Member | Full access | View only | View only |
Transferring ownership
Workspace owners can transfer ownership to another member. The previous owner is demoted to member.
Deleting a workspace
Deleting a team workspace permanently removes all data within it — models, controls, systems, sessions, activity events, and Jira/Confluence mappings. This action cannot be undone.
Personal workspaces cannot be deleted.
